SAI ensures our competitive strengths through Samsung’s global supply network in solvents and monomers by marketing a wide range of materials that expand our presence in both US and international markets.  Samsung’s marketing expertise, customer focus and global presence are key to our continued growth and success. 

The General Chemicals Group is responsible for marketing products that include:

• Styrene Monomer (SM)
• Toluene
• Acetone / Phenol / BPA
• Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI)
• Xylene
• Hydroxylpropylmethylcellulose (HPMC)
• Trimethylammoniumchloride (PTAC)
• Dimethylformamide (DMF)
• Dimethylaminechloride (DMAC)
• Polymer resins that include ABS, ASA, EPS, PET, PE, PP and PVC

In addition to these products, SAI continues to bring advanced industrial materials to the market.

As one example, SAI and Aspen Aerogels, Inc. have developed a cooperative sales agreement, whereby SAI markets Aspen Aerogels’ http://www.aerogel.com/  nano-based insulation products to the solar thermal industry in the U.S. and Europe.  Samsung also sells Aspen Aerogels, Inc.’s materials to other energy related areas, as well as petrochemical applications, in selected geographies.
