RAW MATERIALS

The Raw Materials division of Samsung America, Inc. (SAI) deals with the trading of textile commodities, both domestically and internationally. In either case, SAI believes a successful deal includes all of the following components: quality by specifications, price based on volume, quantity based on availability, and a deliverable schedule. Maximizing on the advantages offered by Samsung's global infrastructure encompassing 55 countries, the Raw Materials Division is able to provide their customers all of these components in every single deal.

The Raw Materials Division conducts trades via two modes of business. One involves fiber trading globally, and the other involves fiber trading locally. Local business is performed through Samsung sales representatives and customer relationship channels. Global trading involves locating a product through a fiber source finder and in some cases an experienced industry broker. In all cases, when inventory is not readily available, source finders forecast the fiber market three to six months in advance in order to guarantee availability for their customers.

SAI trades both man-made fibers (filaments yarns) and natural fibers (spun yarn) locally and globally. Some man-made fibers traded by the SAI include rayon, acetate, nylon, and polyester. Natural fibers traded by SAI include cotton, linen, jute, and ramie. However, these are just a few products, if you have questions regarding our services pertaining to other fibers, or have any other questions or comments, please contact:
